Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and cocoa powder. Whisk until well mixed.
  4. Add melted butter and eggs to the dry ingredients. Stir with a spatula until fully combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Once baked, let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
