Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup bread crumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, thin-sliced potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, bread crumbs, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into thick patties and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend the milk and cream of mushroom soup, then drizzle over the patties.
  5. Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Optional: Add thin-sliced potatoes halfway through baking for a complete meal.
