Description
This festive orange Halloween punch combines citrusy soda, fruit juices, and creamy sherbet for a crowd-pleasing party drink. It’s quick to make, fun to serve, and perfect for both kids and adults at any Halloween gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 liters orange soda (about 8 cups, e.g., Sunkist or Fanta)
- 1 quart (4 cups) orange juice, pulp-free preferred
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 liter (4 cups) lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7UP)
- 2–4 tablespoons sugar (optional, to taste)
- 1 quart orange sherbet (about 4 cups)
- 1–2 scoops lemon or lime sherbet (optional)
- Thinly sliced orange rounds (for garnish)
- Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
- Candy eyeballs or gummy worms (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Chill all sodas and juices for at least 30 minutes before assembling.
- In a large punch bowl, combine orange soda, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir gently.
- Add lemon-lime soda and stir gently to preserve fizz. Taste and add sugar if desired.
- Scoop orange sherbet (and optional lemon/lime sherbet) onto the top of the punch. Use 6-8 generous scoops for a frothy effect.
- Float orange slices and maraschino cherries on top. Add candy eyeballs or gummy worms for a spooky touch.
- Serve immediately by ladling into cups, ensuring each serving gets sherbet and garnish.
- Keep punch bowl on ice or in a cooler if serving outdoors.
- For larger parties, prep ingredients and garnishes in advance and assemble just before serving.
Notes
For dairy-free, use non-dairy sherbet. For gluten-free, check soda and sherbet labels. Add vodka or rum for an adult version. Prep punch base ahead and add sherbet/garnish just before serving. Adjust sweetness and tartness to taste. Keep extra sherbet in the freezer for refills.
