Halloween Witch’s Brew Green Smoothie

  • Author: Layla Thomson
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2-3 servings 1x

Description

A vibrant, spooky green smoothie packed with spinach, tropical fruits, and Greek yogurt—perfect for Halloween parties or a healthy treat any time. Naturally colored, kid-friendly, and easily customizable for dietary needs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach (about 2 oz)
  • 1 large ripe banana, peeled
  • 2 medium kiwis, peeled
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or preferred milk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Gummy worms or Halloween sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh blackberries or blueberries (optional, for garnish)
  • Edible glitter or colored sugar (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana, kiwi, and pineapple (if using fresh). Wash and pat dry the spinach.
  2. Add spinach, banana, kiwi, pineapple chunks, Greek yogurt, and chia seeds (if using) to a high-power blender.
  3. Pour in almond milk and honey or maple syrup if desired.
  4. Blend on low, then gradually increase to high speed. Blend for 60-90 seconds until smooth and vibrant green.
  5. Check consistency: add more milk if too thick, or extra frozen fruit/ice cubes if too thin. Blend again as needed.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or tang (add more honey/maple syrup or a splash of lime juice if desired).
  7. Pour into 2-3 tall glasses. Garnish with gummy worms, sprinkles, berries, or edible glitter for a spooky effect.
  8. Serve immediately, or chill until ready to serve.

Notes

For best color and flavor, use baby spinach and ripe fruit. Frozen fruit makes the smoothie thicker and colder. Easily adapt for dairy-free or nut-free diets by swapping yogurt and milk. Garnishes add fun and texture—let kids decorate their own! Prep fruit ahead and freeze for quick blending. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours; stir before serving.
