    • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
    • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Optional Mix-ins:

    • ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Mix the wet ingredients: Add melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
  • Prepare the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Combine: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Add mix-ins (if using): Stir in rolled oats, chocolate chips, or nuts.
  • Scoop & Bake: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool & Serve: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
